You wake early morning and rush to your office to sign in before the boss puts a red line on the log in book! You do your daily routine and oh its time to go home, you sign out, off you go! You spend hours in traffic jams before you get home!

What real takes place in your thoughts when you sit down calm at home, knowing that tomorrow you have the same schedule? Am I real happy with this job? The answer should come now and not at the end of the month when the pockets have no space left!

We are all happy or mad at our current jobs depending on what makes us do that job! Being we have no other options, it puts a bread on the table or its our dream job,etc
After finishing my internship and get registered. I worked on this well equipped mission hospital in Njombe region. This was a nice experience. But was I happy with the job? Yes. This was one among the best hospitals in Tanzania with ideal working conditions. Has everything that a doctor can need to help his/her patient. Well, then if so why are you painting now and so far away from Njombe? Many would ask the same.

Then the environment changed, the working relations with the management started to change! (You just know this, okay?). Then I decided to quit! Its was a hard decision by then. Where to go?
I moved to Stone Town,Zanzibar. Where I had to paint for money! I met this guy who owns three big art galleries in Stone town. One is located near Emerson Hurumzi. This was a nice and paying 'new job'. I had to work hard. I started to experience 'some freedom' in my new job. The working environment was not as clean as my last job. No air condition, am just joking!

This was the beginning of the journey to self employment and self management. It took me about 3 months until I opened my own art store. It is located in Nungwi, North region, about one hour by car from stone town. It was small, compacted. But see i managed to sell few paintings on the third day after opening!

Working hard and harder has tought me that you don't have to be under someone to push you to reach a certain goal. You have to push yourself beyond the limits!
About 5 months later I extended the space because I had enough artworks to put. The display of the store changed, and I started to have positive feedbacks from friends.
Now, do I love my current job? Yes. It gives me enough time to do other stuff. Sometimes it even outweigh the salary that I used to be paid! But it was not an easy path!
I just want to challenge you. To think and re-think about your current situation! I don't tell you to quit your job. No, but I tell you to love yourself! To make yourself happier! If you are thinking about the money, there is no guarantee that If you are self employed, this will bring you more money! But I ask you to mind your own business!

This is my story!
Let's make another story from this testimony!
Share your story and I will post it.
